Meet The Wrestling Girly Pop: Lola Jimenez

For every girl who needs a hero and doesn’t yet realize she will become her own.

Hey Girly Pops! I'm Paola "Lola" Jimenez! I'm a 27-year-old witch, weirdo, writer and wrestling girly. And I am so excited to be here with you!

I thought I’d write a little icebreaker blog post for the girlies so we can all get to know each other better so lets get started with 10 facts about me.

Side note, isn't this photo so cute?!

  1. I’m a PROUD Puerto Rican! 🇵🇷 Though I was born in Riverdale, GA and lived in various states, my parents are Puerto Rican and I moved to the island when I was 9 and lived there until I was 25. I am very happy and proud to be Boricua and I miss the island every day.

  2. I’ve been watching wrestling since I was a baby. Literally my dad would bottle feed me while watching WCW in the 90s. Cool, right? I got to see all the greats on TV back in the day and Eddie Guerrero was very important in my household. My first wrestling memory was watching Bret Hart’s Documentary on DVD when I moved to Indianapolis when I was about 3 years old. And I’ve loved it ever since. Although I did fall off watching it for a bit in summer of 2006. (Thanks Boogyman)

  3. Wrestling saved my life at 14. I remember the moment vividly of when I started watching again during the summer of 2012. It was AJ Lee that got me into watching again now that I could watch the women’s matches without my dad’s fear of them being in their underwear. I connected to her a lot and thats a story I will tell on this blog sooner rather than later but it truly saved my life. I don’t know if I could have gone through life without pro wrestling.

  4. I actually have been in a wrestling ring to train. Back in 2020 to 2022, off and on, I used to train at Espiritu Pro Wrestling Dojo run by Mike Mendoza in Puerto Rico. It was a dream come true but between my unhealthy mind & body and the pandemic, I wasn’t able to stick to it. But I’m still dreaming of getting back into the wrestling ring one day and becoming a pro wrestler for real. Just let me fix my sore knees first.

  5. I used to be a videographer at my old wrestling school in Puerto Rico. For a while I used to help tape the shows and I loved helping out and being a part of the mix. Although I cannot lie, the ring envy was so real…

  6. I am a TV Production Graduate and minor in Theater Acting from La Universidad del Sagrado Corazón class of 2020! I think we were the visionaries oddly enough. - Insert Seth Rollins Laugh Here LOL - I love television and being backstage and producing it. I love cinematography and script writing which leads me to my next point.

  7. I go to Full Sail University and study creative writing for entertainment. This is why I left Puerto Rico and live in central Florida now. I study at university to become a script writer down the line and yes it’s the same Full Sail that used to be the home of NXT. Have I worked with WWE? I cannot confirm or deny at this time but maybe one day I’ll let you in on my double life.

  8. I did spooky lifestyle Youtube videos. Just living my 2014 Tumblr era fantasy! But they are all private now. lol But I want to combine my love for girly lifestyle videos with pro wrestling now with this venture so stay tuned for lots of Get ready with me’s and fun content with a pro wrestling twist.

  9. I had a wrestling blog called “Inside the Mind of PJ Cage” in my first university experience.
It was a fun way to learn about the internet and blogging back when I was really no one. I got to write about my favorite matches, things that were happening but I was still trying to find myself so I didn’t use my real name.

  10. I used to go by PJ/Lola Cage. I was a HUGE Christian Cage fan in high school watching old TNA videos on YouTube and the DVDs I got off the shop so I adopted the Cage until 2024 that I decided to rebrand as myself (ish) to go along with my author’s name Lola Jimenez.

So that’s me! That’s the life of Lola! 🖤

Isn’t he cute???

Okay, That’s all for now.

Too Sweet Weirdos!
